Port El Kantaoui Reviews
With its waterfront restaurants, ice-cream parlours and chic boutiques, Port El
Kantaoui has the “now” factor. As soon as it was built, twenty-one years ago,
this smart marina became popular both as the focal point of a fine new resort
and as a port-of-call for the Mediterranean jet set on their swanky yachts.
Since then, Port El Kantaoui has become more of a town, but it is still
pleasure-oriented, its Moorish-Andalusian-style architecture providing an
inviting backdrop for relaxed mooching about.
Aspects Of Tunisia

Tunisia's first purpose built tourist town
has now established itself as the country's most popular holiday resort. With
its own beautifully appointed 300-yacht international marina, Port El Kantaoui
has just about everything one would expect for a family holiday - fine beach,
shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and just enough evening entertainment to keep
the tourist visitor happy.

The purpose built resort of Port El Kantaoui has now
mellowed and blossomed with age. The vibrant marina complex buzzes with activity
as ultra modern yachts come and go and brightly painted pleasure boats take
passengers for an exhilarating sail along the Tunisian coastline. Dotted along
the harbour side are cafés, restaurants and shops. There’s so much to do – two
18-hole golf courses, horse riding, tennis (floodlit in the cool of the evening)
and a vast selection of water sports from paragliding to
diving.

Port el Kantaoui, 7km north of Sousse, is
Tunisia's answer to the chic marinas found along the Spanish coast. Even the
countryside has a deliciously Mediterranean feel to it. As well as drawing the
yachting crowd, this purpose-built resort offers a wonderfully relaxing (and
affordable) holiday for those who are more at home on dry land - say on an
excellent sandy beach, with a full range of water sports. Kantaoui's two 18-hole
golf courses are close by and there's tennis too. The restaurants, shops and
cafés in the busy marina are a focal point here. Whilst the hotels offer a mix
of discos and live entertainment this is not a place for hectic nightlife.
